Former Marshal and S.W.A.T. Team Member to Run in Dist. 3.

CUMMING -- Todd Levent, a small business owner and former deputy marshal and S.W.A.T. team member, has announced his campaign for Forsyth County Board of Commissioners in District 3.

"I realize we got into the race a little late, but the momentum is already building," said Levent. "I expect to announce the formation of a 30-40-member Leadership Team next week that will include many prominent civic and business leaders determined to have a positive impact on county government."

Chief among Levent's concerns are the economy, jobs, schools and water.

"Forsyth County can't survive four more years of reckless spending and fiscal mismanagement," Levent said. "If we want the next generation to inherit the same excellent quality of life we have all enjoyed, we must elect leaders who will spend the taxpayers' money as carefully as they do their own. That is the kind of leader I will be for District 3."

Todd is a native of North Georgia who owns his own custom construction company. He and wife Dana live in the Sheffield subdivision in South Forsyth. They have two children, Jared, 14, a student athlete at Vickery Middle School, and Alexandra, 11, a competition cheerleader at Vickery Elementary School.
